Company (Fiscal Entity)
Companies represent the legal entities that issue invoices and NF-e. An organization can have multiple companies (headquarters and branches).
Fields

Branch Rules
- The headquarters must have a CNPJ to have branches
- The branch's CNPJ must have the same prefix as the headquarters
- Branches cannot be set as default
Default Company
One company per organization is marked as default. Used automatically when the company is not specified in operations.
When deactivating the default company, another is automatically promoted.
Fiscal Profile
Each company has a linked fiscal profile that defines:
- Tax regime (Simples Nacional, Lucro Presumido, Lucro Real)
- Tax rates
- Simples Nacional configuration
- CBS/IBS configuration
Operations
- Create: Create a company or branch
- Update: Edit registration data
- Set as default: Marks as the default company
- Deactivate: Not possible if there are active subscriptions or if it is the only active company
- Reactivate: Returns to
activestatus
